Biography

of John G. Sherman, D.C., DIBAK

Dr. John G. Sherman has been practicing chiropractic for over 20 years. He established the Applied Kinesiology and Chiropractic Center of Beverly Hills in 1999, specializing in “The Art of Human Potential” by where a holistic approach to health is taken: treating the whole person, not just one isolated symptom or part. He expanded his practice by acquiring BAC To Health in 2013.  Working with patients to find the root cause of their health issues is where Dr. Sherman excels. He educates patients so they learn that physical injuries are a product of life long traumas that affect the body’s ability (innate intelligence) to heal itself. Traumas are not only physical but can also be emotional and chemical.

Dr. Sherman holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and a Minor in Biomechanics from the University of Southern California (USC).  He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Southern California University of Health Sciences, formerly known as Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. He also holds a Diplomate (the highest level of certification) from the International Board of Applied Kinesiology and is a member of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK). He is a nationally recognized lecturer and instructor where he taught and lectured at Cleveland Chiropractic College as well as for the ICAK.

His sports experience includes treating players of the NHL teams in Atlanta and Minnesota, minor league baseball players, and professional golfers. He has also treated well-known actors, authors, and musicians in addition to serving as the Applied Kinesiologist for the Avon 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk.  He has been a consultant for NBC News and has been published in the International College of Applied Kinesiology (I.C.A.K.) Proceedings.  Dr. Sherman’s practice experience has allowed him to adjust thousands of patients from all over the world, from professional athletes to nurses and doctors, from sports injuries to everyday aches and pains.

In addition, Dr. Sherman is Webster certified and works with expecting mothers to ensure they have a solid foundation for greater health during pregnancy, birth and beyond. He also specializes in the treatment of children with problems ranging from learning disorders (ADD, ADHD), asthma, allergies, digestive issues and sleeplessness.
